Stationery SALKO S.A. Looking back, we find salko company operating pre-war, constructing a few school notebooks, archives and mailing envelopes, depending on the needs of the time in an area of 300m2, with rudimentary technological means, in Ladadika of Thessaloniki.

In 1987 we have a change of management and the course of the company "Kalfopoulos-Koukoulekidis OE" begins with significant changes in organization and equipment.

The increase of turnover, its establishment in the field of bookstores, the acquisition of a significant share of the school-stationery market makes it an immediate priority, the change of space. In 1992 the company moves to an area of 1800m2 in the area of Stavroupoli.

The "range" of its products is expanded with items made with care for the needs of the consumer. They are characterized by elegance, high quality of raw material and construction. It becomes a consciousness in the minds of booksellers and final consumers that when we talk about a school notebook "SALKO", we mean quality with a good price.

The trust and support of its customers imposes its transfer to a larger privately owned area of 2500m2, in 1997.

The prudent management and investment in technological equipment made SALKO competitive in prices and product quality and transformed it from a small family business that until then had been based mainly in Northern Greece, to a producer of school products with a distribution network throughout Greece.

The space where "SALKO" operates is proved in practice and again if itεπα a time. On 1/1/2006 the new company under the name "PAPER SALKO S.A." moves to the Industrial Area of Thessaloniki in privately owned facilities of 5.000m2.

The love of the company's management, executives and employees for the subject, lead "SALKO" to the production of high quality products. Some of them widely recognized and favorite are spiral notebooks, filing boxes, painting and watercolor blocks, rubber binders and of course the innovative plastic notebook in many colors with printed designs that became a "fetish" in the hands of students and many more items.

The insistence of "SALKO" for the production of quality products with good price, manufactured in Greece, ensures and ensures jobs. Its philosophy also for sincere commercial relations with its customers, place it in the real economy competitive, healthy and one of the largest producers of school and stationery items in the country.

The years of crisis found the company properly organized and structured so as to be able to overcome the pitfalls it encounters.

Despite the difficult times that the country is going through and the fact that the turnover of bookstores is shrinking, "SALKO" looks to the future with optimism.
